Legends of Wine
Legendary Winemakers Dinner - Viñedo Chadwick
On Thursday 10 December, we conclude the year with a special edition of Legends of Wine. This evening will be dedicated entirely to Viñedo Chadwick, one of Chile’s most prestigious red wines. Especially for this occasion, Alejandra Chadwick, daughter of Eduardo Chadwick and a sixth-generation member of the winemaking family, will travel to Eindhoven to personally present the wines.
Viñedo Chadwick comes from an exceptional vineyard in Puente Alto, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. This historic site, once home to the Chadwick family’s polo field, is planted exclusively with Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine gained international recognition during the famous blind tasting in Berlin in 2004, when the 2000 vintage outperformed several of the world's leading wines from Bordeaux and Tuscany, including Château Margaux and Sassicaia.
Since then, Viñedo Chadwick has established itself among the finest wines in the world. The 2014 vintage became the first Chilean wine to receive a perfect 100-point score from James Suckling. Subsequent vintages have also earned top ratings from leading international wine critics.
During this edition, you will have the opportunity to taste an exceptional vertical selection of eight Viñedo Chadwick vintages: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2022. A rare opportunity to explore the evolution, character and influence of different growing seasons within a single iconic wine. The evening will begin with Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2022.
The tasting will be hosted by Master of Wine Cees van Casteren and Alejandra Chadwick. Dinner will be prepared by chef Casimir Evens of Michelin-starred restaurant Odille in Sint-Oedenrode.
